Your lawn is a monoculture.  Monocultures of grass are not great for the soil because they place the same demands on the soil year after year.  Traditional lawn management companies will spray weedkiller and spread fertilizer year after year to give the grass the nutrients needed but that is only half the equation....your soil needs to be LIVING to get your grass to look the best.  It has to be full of beneficial microbes to be healthy.  Healthy soil needs decomposed organic material to give microbes something to feed on and this is lacking in most lawncare programs.  Our LIVING LAWNS PROGRAM and our organic lawn care system returns organic matter and microbes to the soil, allowing us to maximize the use of natural fertilizer .

Synthetic fertilizers have the potential to damage the environment: their commercial manufacture has a huge carbon footprint and their local use can pollute local waterways, in addition to 'burning' the grass if applied incorrectly.

Organic natural fertilizer provides protein and carbohydrates for  mycorrhizal fungi to digest.  This rate limiting step ensures the 'fertilizer' is always slow release, to maximize the benefits to your lawn. 

We follow an annual schedule based on the climate of our local areas to maximize the benefit of organic fertilizers, avoiding  many of the negatives associated with traditional fertilizers.

We use naturally-derived repellents and apply them at times when the pollinators are unlikely to be affected.

From routine, scheduled mosquito repellents to targeted lawn-pest treatment we can provide a child and pet safe treatment that doesn't require lengthy time before you can enjoy your lawn again.  It's all part of our organic lawn care service.

 Need to turf an area?  Certain grasses can be grown well from seed.  We pre-germinate our grass seeds and then spread them using a hydroseeder to ensure smooth, even coverage and rapid 'green haze' sprouting.  This means less water needs to be used to establish a lawn resulting in huge cost savings and environmental benefits.  We combine a special blend of ingredients, including natural fertilizer for ouptimal outcomes.

We also undertake irrigation assessment and remediation to make sure your lawn is receiving optimum irrigation

 Soil has to breath .  Compacted soils are 'dead' and will never allow grass to thrive.  Water runs off, oxygen can't get to the roots, and roots struggle to push through.  Aeration should be considered an annual task  to keep your grass healthy.

Over the years, a thick layer of thatch may build up which allows bugs and disease to thrive.  Dethatching gets your grass back on track.
