Your lawn should be for enjoying and there shouldn't be days when you have to stay off it because the lawn guy came and sprayed! Nor should you have to endure the noise and stink of all the gas powered equipment that the other commercial yard care guys use when mowing.
We started MOWGREENER.COM because we passionately believe that beautiful yards should not require environmental pollution using gasoline engines or toxic chemicals and pesticides.
How did we achieve this?
We invested in an industry-leading all-electric fleet of mowers, weedeaters, blowers, saws, hedgers complemented by old-fashioned hand tools.
We only use naturally-derived, non-toxic chemicals for fertilization or pesticide treatments: no harmful pesticides and herbicides.
We tailor an annual program specifically to our area to prevent issues before they arise, meaning we can use less product throughout the year.
We can fully customize our services to meet your needs. If you just need zero-emission mowing and yard tidying services we can provide that. We can add a la carte services or provide a full, single-point-of contact lawn maintenance program to include all of the services below:

Your lawn is a monoculture. Monocultures of grass are not great for the soil because they place the same demands on the soil year after year. Traditional lawn management companies will spray weedkiller and spread fertilizer year after year to give the grass the nutrients needed but that is only half the equation....your soil needs to be LIVING to get your grass to look the best. It has to be full of beneficial microbes to be healthy. Healthy soil needs decomposed organic material to give microbes something to feed on and this is lacking in most lawncare programs. Our LIVING LAWNS PROGRAM returns organic matter, carbon and microbes to the soil, allowing us to maximize the use of organic fertilizers.
To produce 1 ton of synthetic fertilizer requires a process that releases up to 5 tons of carbon into the atmosphere. By the way....it is estimated that home owners alone, use 3 MILLION tons of nitrogen fertilizer every year. Our plant-based organic-material fertilizer programs do not use commercially created nitrogen and rely on the natural process of humification (the slow, natural microbial breakdown of natural materials)
The EPA estimates that gas lawn mowers are responsible for 5% of all air pollution in the nation. One gas mower releases the same amount of VOCs in an hour as a pickup truck driving 500 miles because they are so inefficient. In fact, 1 older mower can generate the same pollution as almost 50 new cars!
BY using all-electric mowing and trimming equipment, we are doing our (small) part to offset this global problem.
Our entire fleet of mowers and yard manicuring equipment is electric and is charged at our offices each evening using stored solar energy. While we wish everything was electric, some of our larger yard and farm equipment and trucks still have gas or diesel motors because equivalent electric units may not yet exist. Where possible, we have converted these motors to use propane or natural gas which have much lower carbon emissions than gas. For the remainder, we partner with local tree growers to purchase and plant young trees, using these 'carbon credits' to run our fleet as close to net-carbon-zero as possible. As electric motors become stronger and readily available in agricultural equipment, we will update these items in line with our philosophy of zero emission equipment.
